GraphicMail was a privately held, global provider of integrated email solutions that include campaign management, email templates, analytics and advanced email editing capabilities, with over 30,000 customers and 12 international support networks. Since inception GraphicMail Ltd, The Country Partner in the UK, has been spearheaded to be a market leader and gained significant market share, resulting in year on year increases to turnover.
Prior to GraphicMail's inception in the UK, the South African-based licence holder and developer only offered end-user and reseller licences. Having personally negotiated with the licence holder to expand on the reseller licence in the UK a franchise-style agreement was negotiated and successfully formed.
Since that initial negotiation in 2005 the franchise-style agreement, using the original UK model, was adjusted to accommodate international marketing focuses and protocols to become an independently-owned Country Partner model resulting in 23 other Country Partner territories expanding out across Europe, China, USA, Canada, South America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan.
  • Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational marketing and customer relationship activities
  • Provide market feedback to the South African-based licence holder regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
  • Took co-ownership of the management of the sales and marketing functions of the business
  • Planned and coordinated the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets.
  • Generate, manage and increase revenue utilising a CRM system and sales pipeline
  • Present and communicate the product offering effectively to new business leads resulting in the generation of sales proposals
  • Setting sales and marketing KPI’s to manage activity within the team.
  • Day to day management of the sales and support teams ensuring the achievemnent of KPI’s.
  • Working with sales executives on approaches to building business.
  • Training both the sales & support teams on the software and updating them with any updates/advancements.
  • Ensuring the sales & support teams update the CRM effectively with all appropriate data.

  • Overseeing all marketing activity and ensuring a suitable fit with the marketing strategy.
  • Managing and overseeing the company’s social media accounts and ensuring posting content remains relevant.

  • Expanded the UK operation to spearhead the Country Partner model and become the leading Country Partner for customer satisfaction, revenue and email sends:

    • increased email sends to over 300 million per annum
  • Grew customer base by 25%
  • Increased turnover Year-on-Year by an average of 30%
  • Created a client loyalty reward system that could be utilised internationally
  • Became the first Country partner to attain certification to sell and support the new marketing automation software (SharpSpring), thereafter continuing to train all other sales & support staff members to successful certification

  • Following consistent Year-on-Year outperformance of all other country partners in the network, the business was acquired in November 2015 by SharpSpring, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHSP).
